The National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) is a 23 piece big band, whose mission is to promote jazz as an exciting, engaging and inspirational art form through world-class performances and education work. NYJO’s flagship band is the UK’s premier youth (under 26) jazz orchestra, performing around 40 concerts annually – nationally and internationally. Recent highlights of the band’s concert diary include a yearly residency at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, performing with Gregory Porter at Buckingham Palace, a major European tour with the German (BuJazzO) and Dutch (NJJO) National Youth Jazz Orchestras, a televised performance at the BBC Proms and repeat appearances at the EFG London Jazz Festival. NYJO celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015 and released a critically-acclaimed double album NYJO FIFTY.

Darcey Williams, Jack Tustin and Joe Hill make up this London based trio. They have been playing together since they met at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2015, developing their unique sound, and applying it to accessible contexts such as pop, soul and jazz. They regularly gig together around the country, performing for audiences at many different events and functions.

Outline are an exciting 5 piece band consisting of current students of Guildhall and The Royal Academy of Music. With a focus on the members' original writing and arranging, the band seek to provide groovy yet challenging music that will engage modern jazz listeners and fans of other genres a like. Outline's unusual line-up, which includes a frontline of vibraphone and tenor sax, coupled with it's composers' contrasting styles of writing, provide the quintet with a fresh and distinctive sound. OUTLINE most recent gig was at one of London's most famous jazz clubs - The Spice of Life.

Darcey Williams and Joe Hill are both currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and have been playing together in a duo setting since 2015. They cover a variety of songs spanning the genres of jazz and pop. As well as gigging around the U.K, they also play locally in London. Their next gig is at the Toulouse Lautrec on the 27th November as part of the 'Guildhall in Focus' series.
